Why another newsletter?

An influential crop of pundits and analysts have come to dominate conversations about the Democratic Party and progressive politics. By appearing to rely on data, polling, and quantitative analysis, these pundits are threatening to hamstring progressives.

Ironically, some of the best people to counter these pundits’ arguments are the people working closest to the party – political staffers. Our goal is to be a channel for their voices, providing anonymity and a platform to those within progressive politics to shift the center of gravity away from the blinkered and solipsistic perspective of the dominant class of centrist pundits.
